International Artist Magazine books Barry's painting “Bastia Harbor” was featured in a book entitled “100 Ways to Paint Seascapes, Rivers & Lakes”, recently published by International Artist Magazine. His painting "Togetherness" was featured in the book "100 Ways to Paint People & Figures" by the same publishers.

Raybould wins figure competition Barry John Raybould recently took a break from painting purely plein air landscapes to work on painting the figure in the landscape. In November 2004 he was awarded First Prize in the Figure & Portrait section of the Seaside Art Competition for “The Cardinal”, which was selected from over 100 paintings

Raybould in 2003 Carmel Art Festival Barry John Raybould, and "Honorable Mention" winner in the 2002 Carmel Art Festival, has been invited back to compete in the 2003 event. A multiple winner at prior events, Raybould is expected to be one of the top competitors again this year!

California Gold Painters Group Formed A group of some of California's finest plein air painters have formed a new group called the "California Gold Painters". The new group was formed to "preserve the highest standards of painting in California art". Barry John Raybould has been selected as one of the Founding Signature Members.
