My love of Louis Tedesco Never in my life has one human being brought the gentle grace of "being true"- to himself and to me, into a friendship and into the gifts he created for me, as Louis has. Never hurried, rarely harried, Louis simultaneously impressed and settled me with his contemplative and unaffected ways. His Buddah-like attitude and wise words aided me through tough times and difficult relations ... Sharing time with Louis was like being in one of his still lifes, surrounded by timeless simplicity and beauty. His "palaces" were of the most sensual, and esthetically pleasing abodes my venutian self has ever entered... from his Taos toolshed-temple constantly aglow with year round christmas lights and gleaming buddahs, to his jungle of plants and fruit fly invested aging models plums and grapevines amusing nessrolling cigarettes and making a morning expresso, to the way he slothed his way about his home and gardens, greened with mother's tears, as has Louis. His paintings will forever remain the peaceful place in which I rest... and now inwhich he rest. "Peaches and Berries for Rebecca..." an endless gift of his Buddah-filled brush strokes, thoughts and dreams. "May the beauty you love be who you are"...Rumi

Louis was a wonderful teacher Louis Tedesco was not just an outstanding painter- he was a gifted teacher. I learned more from him in a 3 dayworkshop than I would ever have imagined. I was shocked and saddened by his death.
