Hello,
I am related to Edgar Paxson. My grandmothers maiden name was Dartnell. Edgar is my Great Great (maybe three greats) Grandfather. She was raised in Missoula, we have a lot of his art and his book which I think has writing in it. My mother and aunt know A LOT more information than I do but it would be really neat if you were related to him as well!

I found a flyer in some of my dad's stuff on Edgar Paxson I think he might be related to us my grandma's maiden name was Paxson and she was from Montana does anyone have any info on his family?

I have an oil painting with the signature of E.S. Paxson. I do not know the title and would like to find out. It is 15"X 19", and has 4 Indians on horses riding through the woods. They are graduated sizes the largest being toward the bottom of the painting. Does anyone know what the title of this is or where I can find out, perhaps a book with pictures of his paintings? Thanks.

I am an appraiser who lives in Missoula, Montana, the home of Edgar S. Paxson.
The Missoula County courthouse has a series of murals by Paxson pertaining to early life in Montana. The Philipsburg Opera House in Montana has backdrops painted for theatrical productions.
