I have a A D Greer painting / print. Lower left hand corner Copyright 1944 Sears and Roebuck and Co. Lowere right hand corner A D Greer. How can I findd out the value of this?

I would appreciate any information regarding a painting hung on the wall of an old house for years. It is signed by A. D Greer in the lower right corner and in the lower left corner it states 1942 PCO. On the back of the frame a piece of paper states Gladewater by AD Greer. Thank you for your help

My Grandfather Joseph Rocker was said to paint a mural at one of the New York art museums. He owned an artist shop in New York back in 1940's I think.

im remodeling a house and it has a huge landscape wall mural painted on the drywall with A.D. Greer signed in the lower right corner. this house was own and built buy one owner and the painting is approx. 4 ft x 15 ft long, could it be real?

My painting is about 20x24 inches. A beautiful frame surrounds what appears to be a large stand of Sycamore trees, in the fall, with a road going thru the middle of the picture.

I too have purchased a sunset glow painting signed by a d greer. It is 24" X 48" in a frame, the frame also has a brass-like plachard with the painting name and artist. On the brown paper backing on the frame there is a sticker stating it is a turner wall accessory. and picture no. L109 style no. c870 sticker with the label from TMC-Chicago. Although this would be a replica does it have any value? Thank you for your time and expertiece.

I have a painting of this. It is large.it has been afixed to fiberboard.I took it from the frame and on the top edge middle is printed very small Benara Picture Co. Inc. . On the bottom middle copywrite mark then B.F co.Inc. On the bottom left corner SC 2403 . Is this real? The material is fibered looking with use of magnifier. Canvas? Please let me know something.

A. D. GREER painting
I purchased a painting last week signed A. D. Greer. The painting is impressionistic. A woman in a white dress and hat is standing beside a tree on the banks of a lake, looking at sailboats. The brushwork is very skilled and the signature matches other examples of A. D. Greer's that I have found on the net. But the style is a bit more along the lines of French impressionism, and the dress the woman is wearing appears to be early 20th century. I would appreciate any feedback as to its authenticity.

I'm writing a book about A.D. Greer, one of America's most accomplished landscape painters, certainly on the par with any of the Hudson River painters, but one who has never received the recognition he deserves. As anyone who knew A D knows, he was a preeminent human being. As a true genius, he was filled with complexities that made him vastly intriguing, and sometimes difficult. And there was a secret very personal side of A.D. that is worthy of knowing. To this end, I invite anyone with stories to share, their reminiscenes as friends, aquaintances, collectors and family to contact me. It would be greatly appreciated.I will respond to each of you.
I had the great fortune to spend time studying directly under A.D.Greer while he was in Santa Fe and then in Austin. To me, he was a master in so many ways. We'd often talk about recording his life's story, but as so often happens, we managed to never get around to it. I feel that A.D. Greer has gone too long unrecognized for the master 20th century painter that he was. A.D. always said "being an artist is a way of life". He exemplified his credo. His legacy as a true artist of the 20th century deserves to be told. I thank you for your help in bringing proper tribute to A.D. I owe so much to A.D. Greer for helping me along on my life as an artist. Thank you. Sidney Wildesmith

Mixed Roses
STOLEN PAINTING! I inherited a painting from my great grandmother that was painted by A.D. Greer. It was titled "Mixed Roses". It was stolen about six months ago. If anyone has seen anything simular, please contact me as soon as possible. It has a green background, a blue vase, and multicolored roses. THANK YOU for any help!!!
