Marcus Waterman
I have an oil painting by Waterman titled: Oriental Scene, Algiers. It was done between 1878 and 1883 when he lived there. It depicts several camels in front of a building and a man standing in a doorway. I wonder if this painting was included in the exhibition at Lowell's Art Gallery in Boston? (The size is 12 by 20 in)

I have a collection of beginning sketches done by M. Waterman. He was a good friend of my great Aunt's art teacher, a Mr. Bixby. My Aunt was given the sketches along with several water colors, and an exhibition anouncement for a showing of Mr. Waterman's paintings at Lowell's Art Gallery in Boston. The announcement is signed by Mr Waterman with a listing of the prices of the paintings on exibit. Would this collection have any value?
