I have a print by James G. Tyler it is numbered 3778 no. 1160 is crossed out in pencil and the number 8963 is written in pencil. "The Blockade runner" is by Campbell Art Company,Publishers Elizabeth, New Jersey. Can you tell me anything about this picture. Anythin would be appreciated.

I have a print by James G. Tyler done by campbell prints,new york.The print is mounted on plywood and all is in a dark frame.It is very old.The print measures 21x26.It is a picture of a Spanish ship in full sail at sea.The top sail has the large letters F. Y. on it.The lower sail has a large red cross.I am sure the print is over 50yrs old.
Any infoe on this print would be appreciated.

Columbia the Cup Defender
I have either an original print or water color titled Columbia the Cup Defender breaking out her spinnaker on the run home. The painting is dated 1899 on the lower right. Any info about this painting would be greatly appreciated.

106 year old puzzle to be solved!
I have an authentic 1900 Tyler print that has been in my family for at least 50 years. My mother did not particularly care for the painting but fell in love with the frame it rests in!
Since I have just begun to research the print's history it would be great if anyone has info on Mr. Tyler's works signed 1900 lower left.
I welcome any info. or questions you have. Thanx!
