Martha Walter Expertise We have been handling the works of Martha Walter since 1968 when my father, Samuel David, the legendary art dealer of the David David Gallery discovered her and signed her to an exclusive representation. We mounted many exhibitions over the years while she was living and afterward. In 1999 we relinquished our exclusive arrangement in order to focus solely on blue chip, stellar examples of her work.
My article on Martha Walter was published in the American Art Review in 1978 and remains today an informative survey on her work. She has been included in many other references, magazine articles, journals and in both of my books, "Collecting & Care Of Fine Art" (Crown, NY 1981) & "Bader Field" (Nightengale Press, 2008. Her works are represented in Museums and Major collections around the world. After actively handling her paintings and watercolors for over 40 years now, we have a wealth of expertise on this artist. Feel free to contact us with any inquiries.

Martha Walter painting I have a signed Martha Walter painting also. It is framed and numbered from an art dealer in Chicago. The dealer is no longer in business so I would like a little bit of information about my painting. It too depicts a beach scene. How do I know if it is real?

Martha Walter print I purchased a Martha Walter print in Maine around 1978 which I thought was an original by an unknown artist. Can anyone explain the technique used on this print? (Women and Children at the Beach) Thanks.
