Aaron Bohrod-Summertime
I have a signed lithograph by Aaron Bohrod which has the date 1945 penciled on the back. It's titled "Summertime". It was originally sold by Associated American Artists Galleries, Fifth Avenue, N.Y. Are lithographs considered valuable or are they similar to posters?

Aaron Bohrod's America
I'm looking for any information for a framed picture given to me by my grandmother several years ago. It is entitled "America by Aaron Bohrod". I'm not sure if it is a reproduction or original. I can't seem to find any reference to this particular work.

A. Bohrod's ceramics
My Senior year as art major UW Madison (51-52),my pottery class with F.Carlton Ball(a master on the wheel)collaborated with A.Bohrod,doing the throwing and Bohrod incising and/or painting on the pots.It was indescribably thrilling, watching. They had a show but I couldn't afford to buy.(I did throw & finish 100 pots for an A.) Are there video or pictures from the show? Where might any of these pots be seen today? Shame Ball's bio doesn't mention 2 years at UW. He taught silversmithing too.Surprisingly my many pieces look as good as the "named" masters of the time shown today on-line.

I first learned of Aaron Bohrod when I purchased a water gelatone print at a flea market title: St. James Park. A very twisted interpetation of a park. So I had to research the artist a little more. The second purchase I found was him on the cover of Life magazine when he covered WAR World II in photo's

Aaron Bohrod
I first met Aaron Bohrod when visiting him with my family in his Madison, Wisconsin, sutudo in 1972. His fascinating realistic oil painting, which he began to paint in this style in the early 1950s, drew my interest as an artist. I had painted a large picture of him surrounded by 37 selected items that were in his countless still life paintings, sent him a photo of it with a fan letter, and he graciously invited me to visit and proposed a swap of my painting of himself. I, an unknown artist, still in the military, though he must be a very kind person to have done this, and I was correct. We corresponded and I visited often thereafter. When I selected a painting from the browze table in his studio, he picked up[ a brush and personalized it to me. The kindness and gentleness of this Famous American Artist was overwhelming to me. I observed many people at his many Chicago ILL and Madison WIS exhibits attempting to touch his paintings to see if they were really oils or photos, due to their extream reality. It would be hard for me to choose a favorite Aaron Bohrod painting, however, I believe it would be his work titled "Ivan Albright, Through a Glass Darkly," my two most favorite artists.
