The Blue Clown I have what I guess is a print of The Blue Clown by Walt Kuhn. It was purchased in the 30's. Is it collected or of value?

Clown knockoff? I have a painting that looks just like Walt Kuhn's "Clown", but the color is less vibrant than the pics I have found online and the date under the signature reads 1931 instead of 1930. Could this really be an original? It was in my Dad's closet for years, he got it from an office that was being remodeled and they told him to throw it out, but much to my Mom's chagrin, he brought it home.
I am in the Dallas area and have NO knowledge of these things! If anyone can direct me to a reputable appraiser I would very much appreciate it!

Authentication of 2 Kuhn pieces? Does anyone know who may authenticate Walt Kuhn's work? I bought 2 pieces, one a nude line drawing, signed & dated 1935 and the other is a gouache on paper (largeof a clown) signed and dated 1947. I live in the Washington, DC area and am hesitant to send them off to someone far away. Any ideas?

"Head of Virginia" painting Hello, I am looking for information about a painting of my mother, done by Kuhn in 1927, titled "head of Virginia." (Listed in Adams' Walt Kuhn, Painter: His Life and Work. He also did a painting of her in 1927 titled "Girl in Gray Furs," which is now in the Newark Museum, NJ. I could send a copy of that painting, if you are interested. Also, does anyone know of Marieli Kaelin Mandel, who's name appears of the reverse of another Kuhn painting I have. Thanks, Albie Davis.

KUHN ESTATE As far as I know, no one currently has copyrights for works by Walt Kuhn. Perhaps only museums with works in their collection. Brenda Kuhn, the only remaining relative died in 1993 in Portland, Maine. Several major galleries handled the Walt Kuhn Estate for Brenda at one time or another, who inherited Brenda's estate, which was later liquidated. At this point, I believe no one can legally claim his estate.

Kuhn Estate Is there an estate or family member who is handling copyright clearance for reproducing works by Walt Kuhn?

Kuhn's birth date Walt Kuhn was born in 1877, not 1880. It is understood that at some time Walt Kuhn himself gave 1880 as his birth year so as to appear younger than he really was.

Kuhn's Date of Birth In a 1929 exhibition catalogue, Kuhn's date of birth is listed as 1880. I understand that this date often appears and has led to confusion.
Does anyone know the source of the discrepancy?
