May I refer you to Nancy Boas' book entitled The Society of Six? She can also be reached personally -- see book for contact info. I own three watercolors produced on or around the early 1910's. They are lovely.

early s.c.gile
Does anyone have information on early s.c.g. I have a oil on canvas laid on board, depicting a path, canal,trees and hills in the background. The piece is 14x24 with the faint date of 04. He destroyed hundreds of paintings in 1927 leaving very little information and images on his earlier works. As far as I know this is the oldest of his California paintings in existence. Any and all help would be appreciated.
