Karl Knaths Karl Knaths completed a New Deal mural at the Rehoboth Beach, Delaware post office. The mural is entitled Frontier Mail. It was completed in 1940 and it is oil on canvas. The mural is indicative of his early interest in abstract art. This information is in Engendering Culture by Barbara Melosh, 1991, Washington, DC: Smithsonian Institution Press.
