Joan Mitchell
I am currently working on a project concerning Joan Mitchell and Phyllis Hailey. Hailey was was killed outside of Paris, France in April 1978 at age 32. One of Mitchell's late paintings(1991) is entitled "L'Arbre of Phyllis". I would be terribly interested in any information pertaining to the work or perhaps knowledge of Phyllis Hailey's close relationship with Joan Mitchell.
