Philip Pearlstein Another type of uncompromising reality can be found in the painting of Philip Pearlstein, he depicts the nude figure in a superrealistic style that might more accurately be described as naked, His nudes, both female and male, are renderedwith meticulous accuracy, he could not call this figure erotic. Pearlstein considered the body an object to be studied in light of its forms, juxtaposed with other formes.
