James Rosenquist Landscape If it doesn't look like pop-art, bright bold colors, sometimes a collage of images or parts of images, it's probablly not by James Rosenquist, the world famous popular pop-artist.
Does the item say, "The Rosenquist Collection" ? If so the painting may be apart of a collector named Rosenquist, not the artist. After some research, I found that the actual artists name is Horst Alter. [[][[]]See Below]
"...an oil painting upon canvas, which has been a treasured part of 'The Rosenquist Collection' for over 50 years. It was originally purchased in the 1950s at a fine art gallery in New York City by our Great Grandmother Rosenquist, who was an art collector and the originator of 'The Rosenquist Collection' (to read more about her, please see 'OUR HISTORY' found under the 'ABOUT US' link at the left side of this webpage). This masterful painting is a Rosenquist family fine art heirloom, signed by the outstanding 20th Century German artist / painter HORST ALTER."
