Authorization to publish Can anyone tell me who is the person who can authorize publication of a Zorach work?
I'd appreciate it...
Thanks, Susannah Glusker

Bloch/Finkelstein/Zorach Hello Ron, William was born as Zorach Bloch in Lithuania, and when his family immigrated to Cleveland they changed the family name to Finkelstein in an effort to Americanize themselves there. Later, one of Zorach's teachers decides his given name should be William to further muddy the family waters. When, after a rather daring peiod of cohabitation, Marguerite Thompson and William Finkelstein wanted something more "dramatic" and searched Hindu names for the perfect one. In the end Marguerite won by returning William's name to him (albeit as a last one) and accepting it as hers. This happened somewhere around August of 1910 from what I can deduce. Good luck with further research, there are few more fascinating family artists. Eric Johnson, Bridgton, Maine
