Winners' Round Up includes work by Tom Haas
During the 32 years of Phippen Museum's Memorial Day Western Art Show and Sale (Prescott, AZ), there has never been group recognition of the award-winning artists. This is about to change! The Museum is mounting a most ambitious exhibit, Winners' Round Up, from February 24 through July 8, 2007. Three oil paintings and two drawings by Tom Haas qualify for this exhibition. Hensley-Budweiser has already agreed to lend "Rim Country Wranglers" which won for Haas the 1995 Phippen Foundation Award for museum quality. His 2004 First Place drawing, "Dottie", will also be on display.

MBNA America Bank acquires "Wild Horse Canyon"
MBNA America Bank purchased more than 30 oil paintings by Tom Haas in 2001. The largest painting "Wild Horse Canyon", a 48" x 84" pastoral scene, is representative of northern Arizona.

2005 Best of Show Award
"Summer Pasture", a 48" x 60" oil painting by Tom Haas, was awarded Best of Show at the 2005 Anthem Festival of Fine Art, Arizona.

The White House, Awards, Auctions & More in 2004!
The U.S. Department of State’s regional office in Vienna, Austria, introduced one of Tom’s southwest landscape paintings to a GLOBAL AUDIENCE with its 2004 calendar. As a result, FIRST LADY LAURA BUSH invited Tom Haas to THE WHITE HOUSE Reception in Celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the Art in Embassies Program, where he had the opportunity to meet her. Haas received an AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE for both paintings he submitted to the National Park Academy's 2004 Art for the Parks competition. In addition, he won FIRST PLACE for DRAWING at the 2004 Phippen Western Art Show. This year’s AUCTION RESULTS for artwork by Tom Haas include: "GROUP HUGS", an 8"x10" landscape oil, sold at the Scottsdale Artists' School's Beau Bash, Arizona - $775. "QUICK DRAW BURRO", an 18"x24" 45-minute oil painting, sold at the Phippen Western Art Show's Quick Draw Auction, Prescott, Arizona - $1,700. "ALONG TONTO CREEK", a 16"x20" western oil, sold at the Mountain Oyster Club's Fine Art Auction, Tucson, Arizona - $2,200. So far in 2004, Tom's also made time to regularly paint ON LOCATION (including a trip to the North Rim of the GRAND CANYON) and remodel his NEW STUDIO/GALLERY in Phoenix, Arizona.

Art For The Parks Top 100
This year (2003), the National Park Academy of the Arts recognized Tom Haas again when its jurors selected THREE of his paintings for Top 200 status, of which TWO pieces went on to the Top 100 national tour.

This year (2002), the National Park Academy of the Arts recognized Tom Haas as “being in the top echelon of representational artists working today” when the jurors selected TWO of his paintings for the Art For the Parks Top 200.

Front Page News!!!
The North Scottsdale Times newspaper featured an oil painting by Tom Haas on the front page of its February 2002 issue, in covering the 2002 Celebration of Fine Art.

Southwest Art / 2002 Celebration of Fine Art
In response to the Celebration's 2002 promotion, Southwest Art magazine selected another painting by Tom Haas for its Art Events section (January issue, p. 105). Other paintings by Haas appeared in the magazine's Best of the West section (May and Sept 1998 issues).

U.S. Embassy in Geneva
Two landscape paintings by Tom Haas were selected for the U.S. Embassy in Geneva, Switzerland, as part of the U.S. Department of State's Art in Embassies Program.
