pencil etching
I have a pencil etching by Hamilton-Hamilton, signed and dated 1887. It is two young girls sitting under a parasol, mother looking over standing near a dory. In the bottom left, out of the picture subject is a childs shovel and bucket.Any information would be helpful.

Hamilton Hamilton's Western American Subjects
For an article on Hamilton Hamilton's Western American subjects, I would appreciate information about extant paintings and works on paper of scenes from Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming and California.

I have an etching done by a Rosenberg Feb, 1890 and copyrighted by Max Jacoby, New York. I can't make out the artist first name. It is a farm scene - fields with a dirt road running throught the centre, a large tree to the left with farm houses in the distance and a pond to the right with more houses closer to the pond.In the distance I believe it is a church steeple. The artist etched 3 ducks and a chicken on the border just below the picture. Can anyone please tell me about this etching and its value? Thank you.

About two years ago I sold a hamilton hamilton that was found in buffalo ny for 52,ooo in at a conneticut auction house. I think it was probably one of his best works. As hamilton went west he must have stoped in buffalo. After the painting sold I found out there was a left bid for 100,000. Good luck to all of you who have a hamilton hamilton I know that there are three more that were thought to be in the same house that were not found .I'm still looking. My shop phone is 5855892380

etching The Parting Wave
I am a custom framer and I had a customer come in recently with a Hamilton Hamilton etching from 1885. It is The Parting Wave. The only example that I have found of this on the internet is just a picture of the woman waving. The piece my customer brought in was the whole scene with the ocean, the setting sun as well as the boat , and the title at the bottom. If anyone has any info on this image, or even its value, I would like to know about it. Thank you

Hamilton Hamilton in Colorado
H. H. Reportedly painted 47 paintings in Colorado in 1873. I would like to know the origin of this number, and if there is any other information about these paintings available somewhere. I own one of them that I am very fond of, an oil on board, "The Old Spruce" (actually a pine) bought at Skinners' auction 5-20-2005. (NFS)

I have a very large etching signed in the plate Hamilton Hamilton. It has no date but is also marked Max Jacoby, New York, Publisher. Would like information on when it was done and if in an edition or just as an artists proof. Thanks

Silvermine
Hamilton Hamilton lived in the house I currently live in, in the Silvermine section of New Canaan (across the street from the Silvermine Art Guild, where HH was a founding member). I own two of his works.
