I got a painting from my aunt and it is by l. henry Time of Leaving does
The painting is by L.Henry it is called Time of Leaving it looks old but it does say on one little corner copywrite is this a copy or an original is it worth anything ?

Girl from Morocco
I inherited a painting by H. Richter from my parents entitled GIRL FROM MOROCCO (6-1/2" X 8"). The colors are still vibrant. I have no idea when they bought it but I'm sure it was before they moved to California from Colorado in the early 1940's. I've always loved it but have no idea of the value of it (other than its' great sentimental value). Can anyone help?

Richter Paintings
I have a great uncle who was a professor at Colorado Teacher's College in Gunnison during the time that Henry Richter taught and worked in Gunnison. Another uncle owned an art and photo studio, and sold Richter paintings. My family has four Richter watercolors, (3 landscapes and a gypsy girl) and a photo of my uncle Robert Walker painting in a field with Henry Richter. I'm uncertain of the dates.

I have found two paintings by Henry L. Richter. One is a landscape watercolor. I think it is somewhere in Colorado. There is no title anywhere. The other is an oil portrait of a young woman with no name or title. Can anyone tell me where I can find out more about them?

new Richter watercolor
I have found a "new" Richter watercolor called "The Skiers". It is similar in every way to the "Skiers" I have seen on the internet, except the skier in background is bent over adjusting a boot or binding. Just thought the Richter decendents might want to know.

I met Mrs. Richter in 1960 at Mrs. Sullivan's,my landlady.in Gunnison CO.Richters and Sullivans were good riends.I purchased a watercolor of a Swiss cabin that hung in my room all the years I was in School with the last nickel I had!
