I am writing the exhibition record of Chicago No-Jury Society of Artists 1915-1951 of which Joseph Sacks was a member./Philadelphia 1921

Cross reference Joseph Sachs w/Joseph Sacks
Joseph Sachs and Joseph Sacks (1887-1974) are the same person. Sacks was born in Russia, came to Philadelphia as a young boy, studied at PAFA,where he won a Cresson Traveling Scholarship. He lived and worked in California for about five years in the 1920's, BUT his home base was always Philadelphia, where he died in 1974.
I am in posession of some of his personal papers and
will be happy to share info.
