Lorna Pearson Watson Lorna, sorry I didn't know about this responce and found it during a web search. This brings the story of the etching a little closer to home as I was living in North Bennington, VT when I received this etching. My step father thought that he bought it from an antique shop, but was not sure. Any further information would be good to know. Sincerely, Dale Tanner dtanner842@hotmail.com

atten. Dale Ralph Pearson was my father and although I don't know the etching you refer to I do know who Ethel Bratton was. She was the principal of Ethical Culture School, West 63rd St., New York City. The school overlooks Central Park and I was a happy student there in the l930's. On retireing Miss Bratton lived in Brattleboro, VT. Sorry, I don't have e-mail but I can respond to this Discussion Board.

Ralph M. Pearson I have an etching by Ralph M. Pearson, #19 Interpretation that I have had for approximately 34 years. The date in the etching is 1917. It was dedicated to a woman named Ethel Bratton in 1937. I found a record of her coming to the US through a website for Ellis Island. Is anyone out there familiar with this etching? It was given to me by my stepfather for something to hang on the wall of my first apartment. For some reason I have been dragging it around all my life. I can’t really explain it. It is in excellent condition and has been reframed to remove any acidic materials. It would be nice to know a little bit about it.
Thank you and best regards, Dale
