Emery Gellert biography
Some historians suggest that Emery Gellert was the brother of Hugo Gellert, another Hungarian artist wellknown particularly in the 1930's. In fact, he was not. There were five brothers in Hugo's family, the other four being Theodor, Ernest, Louis and Otto and one sister, Cecelia. Despite the name and nationality and closeness in age, there was no connection between Emery and Hugo. Hugo was my grand-uncle, Theodor my grandfather, so I am quite sure about this.
