My father recently bought a signed Morris Katz painting at an auction. It is a fall scene with trees on each side and is in good condition. It is sized appoxiamtely 2x4. Any info about it or its value would be very much appreciated.

Do these plates have value?
Walking through my neighborhood, I saw a crate with 15+ individually boxed plates. The crate was next to a trash can. I could not let these be thrown away. While doing research on Morris Katz, I see paintings but not plates. Did I do the right thing to rescue these items?

A friend of mine asked me to try and find out an approximate value to her painting by Morris Katz. It also has a brass plate on the bottom, I can't remember what the plate said, But can find that out also. It has a date of 1908 and still looks in pretty good condition. By that I mean not alot of cracks in it. Mainly just wanting to know a guesstamation of a value from that time period of his work. Thank you.

2 1986 Morris Katz Paintings
I came across a couple Morris Katz paintings at a goodwill in Mesa, Az.. I paid 10.00 each. They are both 20x24. Canvas on board? One is of a cabin on a lake,the other trees and birds in fall like colors. Just wondering if they have any titles or any value. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated,thanks.

I recently purchased a painting by Morris Katz dated "1986" untitled, approximately 19.5"X.23.5" in size. It Is an impressionistic rendering of an urban neighborhood setting with apartment houses and baconies overlooking the street--all portrayed in bold colors; red,white,black gray--in thick paint--very striking--frame is unusual with rope incised border--Any information would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much!

I purchased my painting in 1964 from Burdines Art Gallery in Miami Florida. It is dated 1963, is 53"x29", in the original gold leaf frame. I corresponded with Morris Katz regarding the value of my painting and he said that his art of the type I have goes up 15 to 20[%] every year.He sent me a letter stating that " Let it be known that this is my early creation of Pikes Peake Colo., painted in 1961-62. I think the retail price was $700.00-$900.00. Best Regards Morris Katz.It is beautiful.A blue sky with clouds, snowcapped mountain, pine trees, mist and rock formations in the foreground.
