Just curious about when he painted it and any other information that is available.

Parents recently picked up a painting on the side of the road. Did some research and found a site that makes replicas of Albert Bierstadts work replicas worth around $200-$300 gallery price is double that

ABierstadt Litho "Yosemite Valley" #GP 695 & possibly an original oil
I have a lithograph #695 in original frame (has some condition problems). I also have an original painting 16x20 that I can't find a signature on. This painting was in my mothers family since early 1900s or before. It looks a lot like paintings by Mr. Bierstadt, most closely the Cascading Falls at Sunset. Painting in original gold wooden frame and on the back of the frame it says "A new years present". My mother's father's family was related to the Annie James Hollister family of Glen Annie Ranch N. of Santa Barbara, CA. In fact my mother's maiden name is Annie Elizabeth James and she still lives at 94 years. She says that painting hung above her parents fireplace as long as she can remember. She also says that there was a artist who used to come to the ranch every year and paint. Could this have been ABierstadt? The painting has mountains in the background with forest in front with water coming out of rocks flowing into a pool. It needs cleaning real bad, but otherwise the condition is pretty good I think. I'm not an expert. I would like to know value and want to get it cleaned, but I live in a small town and the closest big cities are Seattle, WA and Portland, OR. How do I find out if this is a ABierstadt painting? Any information would be appreciated.

I have a fairly large painting that has been in my family since the very early 1900's (or perhaps even earlier.) My Mother always said id was by Mr. Bierstadt. As my family has long roots in Colorado, and were fairly well off, I feel that may be so but there is no signature that I can see. It depicts Yellowstone Falls or some similar mountain waterfall.
Any comments would be appreciated.

My parents have a painting that was obtained from Rice university archives some 33 years ago which came from an unknown donor no telling how many years prior. It has a frame with a brass plaque with albert bierstadt on it but no signature. Did Bierstadt ever do any Middle Eastern landscapes?
