signature (signed) Just wondering if anyone knows how Nels Hagerup signed his paintings. Does anyone have an example of a painting he signed? Did he just sign it "Nels"? Please email. Thanks! JT

Nels Hagerup work I am trying to find out more information about Nels Hagerup. When did he paint most of his coastal scenes?
The painting I recently purchased is like many of his sand dune coastal sunset scenes. The image most closely resembles "A Seascape at Sunset" and "Seascape and Sunset" as shown at Askart.com.
My painting appears to be in the original frame, and the frame has a "Brueners Art Department" sticker on the back. Does anyone know when Hagerup might have been selling his work through this very old, high-end furniture store in Sacramento, California?
Also of interest are the keys. They are metal and have the following stamped in them:
PAT Feb (something) 1883 Jun 16 1885 A.D.S
Does anyone know when this might have been painted, what it might be worth and of any dealers who deal in this artist who might know more?

Hagerup, Nels I am interested in finding out if anyone knows what paintings brought gold medals to Hagerup at the 1905 Lewis and Clark Expo and the subsequent showing in Seattle. Since he lived in Portland, Or. I am wondering if anyone knows where that art might now be viewed. Is it still in Oregon? We are Oregonians who have happily owned one of his works since 1964 and just trying to find out more about his time in our state.
