Walter J. Wilwerding
I am the son of the previous poster, Thomas Soukup. He passed away suddenly a few years ago and has left his collection to his children. We have been trying to continue his dream of exhibiting this collection through out the US. He was working with a exhibit company and was accepting reservation for the collection at the time of his death. Of course after his passing, the company canceled everything and didn't seem to want to work with us. We would love to see this collection exhibited in his honor. We are not worried about money as long as it does not cost us anything. If anyone can help with this, it would be greatly appreciated. And if anyone has heard of "The Mammoth Circus", any information would be greatly appreciated. We are also interested in any of those pieces made for Coca Cola. Thank you, Aron

Walter J Wilwerding
My grandmother Anna Wilwerding Smith was cousin of Walter. One of those things I remember is he used to be in one of the sports stores in downtown Minneapolis upon occasion, and painted ducks, geese etc on ties for sale at the store. He was also one of the artists that did the Greyhound on the buses.

Knew Walter J --Was a neighbor
I lived katty korner in Edina Mn from Walter Wilwerding from 1950 until the time of his death in 1966. he was a wonderful man- so peaceful. so intent on his wonderful works- we have 5 small sketchs (oils -but anything under the size of ~18"x24" he called 'sketchs') in our house even now. we would not part with them for all the world. I loved the guy. he did travel all over the world with easel and camera taking pics in the most interesting of places. His home was loaded up with wonderful oils of animals of all types- I really don't know what happened to them when his wife became ill and eventually passed away in the '70's-- He was an active painter from apparently the mid to late '20 until the time of his passing in '66.

I have a very old scrapbook from the 1930's and I think may have been owned by Walter Wilwerding. Photo is enclosed without name, but many wildlife pictures are in it. Would appreciate info on how to find out more about the owner of the old scrapbook bought 10 years ago at an auction.
