JOHN WADE HAMPTON I HAVE A W/C SIGNED "WADE HAMPTON". DID HE EVER SIGN HIS W.C'S LIKE THAT?
01/18/2004 Jeanne C Wolf
Johnny Hampton We who love art often read about the facinating times of artists in Europe and their comraderie, yet not much is written about the great bond between the Cowboy Artists of America and the emergence of the Southwest Painters. From the great deserts to the western saloons, the influence of this massive herd of artists changed the life of the west forever. Deserts now have zillion dollar hotels and golf courses, saloons are now five star restaurants--all for the love of art the tourists came and spent. And art was changed forever in form and subject. John Wade Hamptom played a large part in creating the new personality of the West. His personal life and loves would make a great movie. I should know I was one of his "nieces". Jeanne C Wolf
