Frederick Arthur Verner
Hello, I have a large watercolour, looks like the mountains of California, signed simply VERNER. The signature matches the only one I could find on line of "frederick arthur verner". How can I authenticate this? Thank you for your help.

I have found out that I am related to Fredrick Verner through my mother's side of the family. She has recently passed away and I am in possission of a Verner water color. From all that I have been able to learn it is a little unusual as the subject of the painting does not seem to be common for his work. It is a groupng of roses. I would be interested to know if anyone has ever seen any other work of his that features flowers. My family and I are undecied as to what we will do with this painting. We are considering a donation to an entity that would appreciate it and preserve it. Any correspondance would be appreciated.

Frederick Arthur Verner
Although Frederick Arthur Verner was born in Ontario,Canada, his grandfather David Verner was born in Armagh Co., Ireland and is the brother to Sir William Verner of Verner's Bridge, Armagh Co., Ireland. The Barontage is now extinct, but anyone interested in the Verner lineage may find it in Burke's "Extinct Peerage and Barontage" under Verner with the coat of arms. Frederick's father was Arthur Verner, son of David.
