Fred Harmon prints I have a Fred Harmon print and would like to know it's value. My uncle George Russell was a good friend of Fred.

I did know Fred I first met Fred Harmon in San Antonio in 1968 when he was touring with his art work. He was a delightful man and we stayed in touch over the years. A close friend of mine, Jim Bannon, an actor who had portrayed Fred's character on the screen, once said to me, "Let's call Fred and talk." We did. Now the two of them hadn't seen each other since the filming a the Red Ryder TV pilot in the 50s. Yet they talked for hours on the phone and never missed a beat. A few years later I had an occasion to write a magazine article on Fred and during the course of our interviews, he sent me a wonderful pencil sketch of Red Ryder and Little Beaver. He asked me how I liked it and I said, "It's wonderful" "Great," he replied, "Send it back to me." So, I reluctantly complied. You can imagine my surprise when 6 or 8 weeks later, I had a special delivery at my front door. It was a RED RYDER original oil painting...One of 3 that he would ever do. To this day, it hangs in my den, a reminder of what a gracious man, Fred Harmon was. Years later, I was filming the network special America and had occasion to film in Pagosa Springs. I'd never met Fred's son but got to do so then. It was so nice to see that his son had all the wonderful characteristics of the Dad.

fred harman connection As a former daisy exec., Fred was no stranger since we offered many of Fred's prints along with his red ryder guns. One of his closest friends for years was another artist by name of Norv Langworthy who was also an adv. exec. who handled the daisy business for over 70 years. I last talked with Norv about ten years ago and never heard another word. Can anyone tell me what ever happened to him?? I have a picture of him along with Fred taken at Fred's ranch some years ago. Thanks.

Fred Harman I had the opportunity as a young boy to live on the Red Ryder Ranc and spent a great deal of time with Fred and Lola Harman. As often as possible I would visit his studio which overlooked the Main House. Both Fred Harman and his wife Lola were as nice a people as you could ever hope to meet. His Studio in Albequerque was a sight to ( even the bathroom in the house had an Original painting on the wall.

Fred Harman I did not have the pleasure of knowing this gifted artist, however, my father left me four of his beautiful prints which he enjoyed for many years. I hope to do the same.
