Harvey, always put the copyright symbol near his signature. he also put numbers on the back strecher of his painting. His son-in-law Tim runs the Whistle Pic gallery in Fredricksburg Texas and he can authenticate any G. Harvey painting. G. Harvey keeps meticulous records of all his paintings

Early G. Harvey Oil on Canvas
Hi, I am interested in an estimated value of an early original G. Harvey Landscape Oil on Canvas dated 1965, around 15x19 inches. It appears to be of a Hill Country setting: hill, water, trees, vegetation. It was purchased by a relative in San Antonio, and possibly loaned back to G. Harvey for an early show in New York.

How can I find the name of the print?
I have a G Harvey print dual signature, left hand corner numbered 101/1000, copywrite/ 1978. Horse drawn carriage with man and son checking mail boxes. Snow covered terrain with farm in back ground. Professional framed. Unable to locate any information on the web for this print. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Painting of a church scene
We came across a painting by G. Harvey signed in the right hand corner with no date or number. This painting is not like any of the painting we have seen by him. The painting shows inside of the church with people and pues and a cross in the middle of the church. If anybody knows anything about this painting Please let us know.

Early G Harvey original
I have an early signed G Harvey oil on canvas in what appears to be the original frame. The subject is a lone teepee to the right of center, with a lake/pond in the foreground, lanscape. I would like more information on when it was painted, or authenticated.

G. Harvey in the old days
In 1959-60, I worked with G. Harvey Jones at the University of Texas. He painted hill country lanscapes in his spare time, in company with several Austin groups, and did not at that time realize there was clearly a quality to his work that suggested a solid future for him in the art world. As the biography says, he was a soft-spoken man, and was also overly modest in self-assessment. Thus, I was overjoyed to see, in subsequent years, that my old friend has learned from his fans what great values he has brought to Texas and American art.

Hi all. I have a G.Harvey on canvas that has some oil touch-ups. It has Austin under his name. I do not know if this is an original or a canvas print with accents. Does anyone have information on Harvey's older work? It has definitely NOT been made into multiple paper or canvas prints and marketed--not that I can find. I have searched tirelessly--even taken it to a gallery and he couldn't tell if it was perhaps an original or a canvas print. Thanks.

I have been a fan of Mr. Harvey's work for years. I love his creations of turn-of-the-century scenes in major US cities, especially New York.
