The show features more than 100 works in all mediums – paintings, sculptures, ceramics, works on paper – and includes a never-before-seen-in-public portrait of the artist’s daughter, Paloma. Included in numerous publications since its creation, the painting, Paloma, was considered by Picasso a private
and sentimental work and consequently never exhibited publicly.
Additionally, the exhibition will showcase dozens of ceramics, a medium uniquely suited to Picasso’s genius form of expression. This is a rare opportunity to view such a comprehensive grouping of works by the great modern master. The exhibition officially opens on November 28, 2009, and runs through March 14, 2010.
