These days many popular websites use cookies when users log on. AskART does not use cookies to track personal information. We respect your privacy and expire our cookies. Basically, cookies help us deliver information as quickly as possible to you and other customers. To log on to AskART, your browser needs to have cookies enabled.


Steps to enable cookies

Below are ways to enable cookies for various browsers.

Internet Explorer 7.x 
1. Click Start and select Control Panel. (Windows XP Classic View - click on Windows Start button and select Settings and Control Panel).
2. Double-click the Internet Options icon.
3. Select the Privacy tab.
4. Under Settings, click Advanced.
5. Check Override automatic cookie handling under Cookies section in Advanced Privacy Settings window.
6. Under First-party Cookies, select Accept.
7. Check Always allow session cookies.
8. Click OK.
9. Click OK to exit.

Internet Explorer 6.x 
From the Tools menu, select Internet Options
Click the Privacy tab.
Click on the button labeled "Advanced".
Click the box labeled "Always allow session cookies."

You can also add 'http://www.askart.com' to your list of websites where you allow cookies.
From the Tools menu, select Internet Options
Click the Privacy tab.
Click on the button labeled "Edit" (websites).
In the "Address of Web site" textbox, type 'http://www.askart.com' and click "Allow"
Click OK and OK again.

Internet Explorer 5.x 
From the Tools menu, select Internet Options 
Click the Security tab 
In the Security dialogue, click on the globe for "Internet" zone 
Click on the button labeled "Custom Level" 
In the dialogue that appears, scroll down to the heading called "Cookies"
Click the "Enable" button under "Allow Per-Session Cookies" to turn Session Cookies on

Netscape 6.x and 7.x 
Click Edit on the browser Toolbar. 
Click the Preferences 
Expand the Privacy and Security category to view the subcategories. 
Select the option "Enable cookies for the originating web site only"

Firefox
From the Firefox Menu, choose Preferences.
Select Privacy from the panel of options.
Expand the Cookies options on the right.
Select "Allow sites to set cookies"

Safari
From the Safari Menu, choose Preferences.
Click the Security icon.
In the Accept Cookies: selection box, chose Always or Only from sites you navigate to.

Camino
Select Preferences from the Camino menu.
Select the Privacy icon.
Select Enable cookies.
Close the Preferences by clicking in the window's close box

AOL 9.0 (Windows)
From the AOL Toolbar, select Settings.
Select Internet [Web] Options.
Select Use your Internet Explorer Settings to set advanced browser options.
Select the Privacy tab.
Select Advanced.
Deselect override automatic cookie handling button.
Click OK to exit.

AOL 8.0 (Windows)
Go to keyword: PREFERENCES to open the AOL Preferences window.
From the organization column, click "Internet Properties (www)".
In the AOL Internet Properties window, click on the Privacy tab.
Make sure the slider is set to the "Accept all cookies" option.

AOL 6.0 (Windows)
Click on My AOL.
Click Settings on the main toolbar.
Click Preferences.
Click on Internet Properties (www).
Click on the Security tab.
Click on the Internet Zone, then click on the Custom button on the bottom of the window.
The Security Settings window will appear. Scroll down until you see Cookies.
Click Enable for the Allow per-session cookies option.
Click OK to exit.

AOL 5 (Windows)
Click on My AOL on the main toolbar.
Click Preferences.
Click on www.
Click on the Security tab.
Click on the Internet Zone, then click on the Custom button on the bottom of the window.
The Security Settings window will appear. Scroll down until you see Cookies.
Click Enable for the Allow per-session cookies option.
Click OK to exit.
