Born in Illinois on Nov. 4, 1857, Ada Farnsworth moved to Iowa at an early age. She taught art there at the Corning Academy for several years before opening a studio in Lincoln, NE.
After her marriage to Clark Champ in 1891, she moved to St Joseph, MO and soon thereafter to San Diego, CA. Mrs. Champ continued to paint the local scenery until her death on Dec. 12, 1921.
