LOYKA, Adolph Joseph (1893-1956). Etcher. Born in Iowa on November 26, 1893. A veteran of WWI, Loyka studied at the Allied Expeditionary Forces University in France (1919), California School of Fine Arts (1920), and graduated from the California College of Arts & Crafts in 1925. While living in Oakland, he taught drawing at the California College of Arts & Crafts during 1927-31 and later at Oakland High School. He died at Agnew, CA State Hospital on April 2, 1956.
