Agnes Valborg Fromen (1868 - )
Born in Ringarum, Valdemarsvik, Ostergotland, Agnes Fromen is known for figurative sculpture and for designs of marble fountains. She went to Chicago by way of Australia in 1904, have studied sculpture in Austria and Paris. She then attended the Art Institute of Chicago, where she studied with sculptor Lorado Taft.
She taught art at Hull House, and designed marble fountains for the Art Institute, Chicago high schools and the Evanston Senior Home.
She exhibited in the Panama-Pacific exhibition in San Francisco and won a prize from the Chicago Municipal League for a marble fountain purchased by the Art Institute of Chicago.
