Born in Cincinnati, OH on April 5, 1883. Titus settled in San Diego, CA with his family in 1887. He first studied locally with Charles Fries and then continued at the Mark Hopkins Art Institute in San Francisco (1903-05) and the ASL in NYC under Harrison, DuMond, and Chase. He served as the director of San Diego Fine Arts Society for several years and in 1920 founded the Friends of Art. Titus died in San Diego on Nov. 17, 1941. Exh: Calif.
