Albert Scott Cox (1863-1920)

Born in Maine, he was a resident of both Boston and New York City.  Cox was a painter, illustrator, and art teacher and studied in Paris in 1896 with Jean Paul Laurens and Jean Leon Gerome at the Academie Julian.  He also was a student at the Academy Delecluse.

Exhibition venues include the Paris Salon, the Pennsylvania Academy, and the Art Institute of Chicago.
