Biography Alejandro Corujeira
Alejandro Corujeira studied at the School of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires and moved to Spain in 1991, where he settled. Its formation is part of the European constructivist tradition of the interwar period. The Uruguayan Joaquín Torres García is one of the influences palpable in his early works, where geometry plays a predominant role. However, this influence came to Corujeira more directly through his compatriot Alfredo Hlito, a co-founder of the Asociación Arte Concreto Invención and signatory in 1946 of the Invention Manifesto.
