Born in Lone Pine, CA in 1876, Alexander Preciado settled in Madera, CA with his family at age three. He studied in San Francisco at the Mark Hopkins Institute and worked as an artist in San Francisco until the earthquake in 1906.
After most of his artwork was lost in the disaster; he stopped painting.
He died a thet Napa (CA) State Hospital on May 21, 1960. San Francisco Art Association, 1896.
