Biography Alexis Many
A painter and craftsman, Alexis Many was primarily a resident of Washington DC where from 1901 to 1936, he was a teacher at McKinley High School. He spent many summers in Laguna, Beach, California, and exhibited with the California Art Club.
In Washington, he was a member of the Washington Art Club, the Art Students League, and the Society of Washington Artists, and exhibited at the Corcoran Gallery Biennials of 1212, 1923 and 1930.
Watercolors by Alexis Many can be found in Washington DC at George Washington University and at the Phillips Collection.
