Mr. Galli was born in Florence, Italy, date unknown, and entered the Florence Academy of Art at the age of twelve. He painted members of the nobility of Europe, it was said, among them the Princess of Pless and members of her family. In her "Memoirs" she mentions Galli.
In 1929 he came to New Orleans to stay, after two previous visits had convinced him that the city was a "delightful place", particularly suited to an artist. It seems to have been true.
