Biography Alice Randall Marsh
Alice Randall Marsh was born in Coldwater, Michigan in 1869 and died in
Italy on October 24, 1929. In the early 1890's she studied at the
Art Institute of Chicago, and in Paris with James MacNeill Whistler,
Merson, Collin and Fred MacMonnies.
She exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1895. A painting, Interior of Chapel at Crecy-en-Brie, was also exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1895.
Her husband, Frederick Dana Marsh, was an architect and artist, and
both were students together at the Art Institute of Chicago. They were
married in 1895 in Paris. Two of their sons James and Reginald,
both born in Paris, were noted artists.
