Born in Oakland, CA on May 12, 1916. Tofanelli studied in the studio of Dick Gremke and graduated from the CCAC in 1938. She married artist Hugo Steccati in 1941 and continued to live in Oakland until her demise on Feb. 1, 2000. Her work includes abstracts in oil and watercolor on paper.
