Biography Amanda Snyder
Associated with the early 20th-century modernist movement in Oregon, she was a resident of Oregon who studied at the Portland Museum Art School, now called The Pacific Northwest College of Art, and was influenced by Charles Heaney and C.S. Price.
She had a distinctive approach that included totally non-representational painting. An unflattering self portrait completed in middle age shows a sad, disillusioned woman.
