Biography Anne Peck
Born in Piermont, New York, Anne Peck was an illustrator for Harper's magazine who traveled widely and loved to paint what she referred to as "beautiful Arizona desert country." She exhibited work in Tucson in the early 20th century.
She studied in New York City with Robert Henri and Irving Wiles and attended the Hartford Art School and the New York School of Fashion and Apparel. For Harper's magazine, she specialized in woodcuts and lithographs. She wrote and illustrated children's books including Southwest Roundup, Roundup South America, Young Mexico, and Steppin' and Family.
She lived in Tucson, Arizona for extended periods of time and taught at the Extension Division of the University of Arizona
