Biography Arthur Secunda
Arthur Secunda was born in New Jersey in 1927 and established a career in Paris, France, and on both the East and West coasts and Arizona. He is a painter, collage artist, sculptor, teacher, and graphic artist. He is especially noted for his richly colored collages and skill with printmaking, having received two grants from the Tamarind Lithography Workshop.
In 1946, he served a year in the Air Force as a staff artist and then attended New York University and the Art Students League where his teachers were Harry Sternberg, Reginald Marsh and Julian Levi. He later continued his education in Paris and Rome, studying sculpture with Ossip Zadkine and painting with Andre L'hote. Secunda spent a year in Mexico work
