Biography Attilio Pratella
Attilio Pratella (1856-1949)
started his artistic career at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Bologna. A scholarship led him to Naples, where he finished his studies and finally established with an own studio. Here, he was deeply inspired by the city’s lively markets, the quays with the surrounding hills and last but not least by the island of Capri. His compositions often show marine and town views and captivate through the impressionist approach.
Pratella’s works are still highly sought after in the international art market and can be found in the main public collections of Naples, Milan and Rome.
