Biography   Auguste Hervieu

Auguste Hervieu was a French portrait and miniature painter and illustrator.  He is best known for traveling to America with the author Frances Trollope and her family as tutor to her children, including the future author Anthony Trollope.  He collaborated with Frances Trollope for a number of years, drawing the illustrations for many of her most popular books, including Domestic Manners of the Americans (1832).
