Augusto Corelli (1853-1910)
He studied at the Accademia di San Luca and at the Istituto di belle Arti and subsequently in Naples in the studio of Achille Guerra. He exhibited regularly mostly genre scenes in oil or watercolor in Italy since 1880. Due to his effectual and dramatic renditions and his pleasing colors he had a good reputation in foreign countries.
He belonged to the Viennese group of watercolor artists and was an honorary member of the Munich Secession.
