Biography   Betty Warren

Betty Warren was born in 1920 in New York City, NY. She died in Albany, NY.  Betty Warren was the daughter of Jack A. Warren, western painter, illustrator and cartoonist of "Pecos Bill". She studied at The National Academy, NY, The Cape School of Art (Henry Hensche), Farnsworth School of Art, Sarasota, FL and the Reineke School, New Orleans, LA.

In 1991, Hartwick College, Oneonta, NY awarded her an honorary Doctorate of Fine Art. After her death in 1993, The Museums at Hartwick College founded "The Warren Gallery" for changing exhibits in the museum.
