Broncia Koller-Pinell (1863-1934)
Broncia Koller-Pinell was born in the former Austrian Galicia. In 1870, she went to Vienna with her parents and received private lessons with the painters Robert Raab and Alois Delug. In 1885, she exhibited her works for the first time. In the late 1880s, she studied at the Women's Academy of Munich’s Künstlerinnenverein under Ludwig von Herterich. She exhibited at the Vienna Künstlerhaus, as well as in Munich and Leipzig. After a stay in Nuremberg, she lived again in Vienna starting from 1902, being included in the circle around Gustav Klimt and the secessionists.
