Biography Broncia Koller-Pinell
Broncia Koller-Pinell was born in 1863 and by 1870 had moved to Vienna
with her family. In 1896, she married Hugo Koller, a successful
industrialist who supported not only his wife's artistic talent but that
of other young artists such as Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele.
Koller had especially close ties to Klimt's group and exhibited with
them in 1908 and 1909 at the Kunstschau and in 1911 at Vienna's
Gallery Miethke. In 1913 she became a member of the Bund
österreichischer Künstler founded by Klimt, Kolo Moser, Josef Hoffman
